HARD N.core!

In Second Life it has been my experience that good friends are hard to come by.  Sooner or later people seem to show their true colors and you make new friends.. I don't mean those kind of friends.  I mean REALLY good friends, people that you know for a long time, can share secrets with, experiences with, and can completely trust.  I have been friends with a couple of people in Second Life for almost two years now.  I was fortunate enough to be taken under their wing my first week in SL and have had the best support system I could ask for in SL and in RL as well.  I suppose this is where I give them a little shout out (/me waves at Luni and Lys)

Now if you're lucky enough to find friends like these two then you might be able to relate to my friendship with Luni.  Luni is very.... honest-I'm putting this nicely so I'm not beaten later :P  But really if she see's your skull hanging out of your hair, she will let you know.  If your noob-bling is killing her, she will instruct you on how to turn it off or remove it.  And most importantly... if she see's you barefoot without prim feet... she will drag you shoe shopping and get you a pair so that she no longer has to stare at your UGLY SL feet.

And that'ss exactly what she did.  She took me to N.core shoes and clothing and there I found amazing shoes.  Because I was looking for specific open-toed look this is what I bought but let me inform you that N.core has boots as well.  The price of these shoes are a bit on the expensive side but I will tell you, it is the perfect price for these shoes.  I would say the average price of these shoes are about 595L, so get to working and go buy some for feet's sake!

When I perved the creator's profile I noticed she had a very important message about her shoes and I wanted to share it with you as well:

"All sculpts and textures of N-core shoes are unique and created by Claire Messenger. They are sold only by  nuria Augapfel, NOBODY have permissions to sell or to give our shoes. Someone wearing  N-core shoes created by other avatar are  wearing copybotted shoes."

Let it be known that this blogger, right here, me, does NOT support those that copybot and hope you all are banned from SL soon.

Some nice things about N.core:
1. Realistic.  I am a realistic kind of girl.  I like a real looking AV, real looking clothes, hair and shoes.
2. Menu w/ shoes.  If you attach the hud you will see that you can change the color of the skin to match yours and the color of nailpolish on your toes.
3. Variety.   Heels - Shoes - Stilettos - Pumps and also!!!!... SKins - Shapes- Hair & Clothing.
4. Amazing quality.  Some of you might not know what to look for in shoes.  So here is a couple of hints.  Walk with the shoe on and make sure everything stays in place.  Make sure the ankle and the leg meet and flow together naturally.  You will find with N.core these are high quality shoes that will need little editing if any at all.

Something to "sadface" about:
1. Lag.  I'm not sure if it's just me but the lag was pretty bad here, so please be patient when you shop because the store is well worth the fight.
2.  Only SOME of the the models of shoes are available in the Marketplace so yes, you will have to fight the lag monster.

I just want to thank Luni again for hating my ugly duck SL feet and showing me the wonderful world of prim feet and shoes!!

1-2-3.. AVZ!

I always find myself in a club in SL.  Even if I'm working or editing or even blogging for that matter.  I can't help but get bored with the gesturebating crowd and the same old sexual comments from hosts/dancers desperate for tips.  But the music and the DJ's definitely MAKE clubs.  Right now I'm in Sanctuary Rock listening to the awesome DJ Trish and perving people like crazy.  If there is one easy way to find stores or clothing items you like it's from perving the picks on people's profiles.  I was in another club a few weeks ago and saw the cutest little avatar with these GIANT cyberpunk boots and I fell in love.....with her feet... instantly.  I wanted them, had to have them, so I perved her and found the LM for AVZ and tped there right away.  I told you I have issues!!!

Let me tell you a little about the store. Hern Worsley owns AVZ and describes it's style as Cyberpunk, Cyberfunk, Cybergoth, Cybertech, Cybermech.... so don't go in there looking for little tight dresses and high heels.. this is not a store for hookers :)   I bought quite a few items.  armbands, skirts, and boots.  I was not too fond of the hair to be honest.  But the quality of the clothing and accessories is to die for and yes, it is a bit expensive.  My boots were 500L, my skirt was 350L, and my armbands were 200L.  "THAT IS A LOT OF LINDEN" you might say but totally worth it! Here's why:

1. The detail is incredible.  You can tell Hern spent a lot of time giving his customers a quality product.  Well done.
2.You can wear his items with a lot of different clothing.  Right now I'm wearing his armbands with chuck t's, POISED leather pants, a GAWK! shirt and truth hair.. or you can wear them all together to give it that complete cyberpunk look.
3. Low lag store, THANK GOD!!  I love low lag.
4.  Unique.  If everybody starts wearing these tiems, it will be OK, a lot of different looks can be used with this.
5. ANYONE can wear it.  Nekos, cyborgs, elfs, fauns, demons, whatever you choose to be that day... you can wear any of these items, have fun with it!!!
6. It looks like a lot more is to come from this store since there are some blank spots on the wall.
7. Good music as well!!!

Hern, I love your store, I love your items, I'd spend some more time with the quality of the hair but I think once you get the hang of the "real" look you will sell a lot.  You're creative and innovative and as we all know I love the mixture of those two.  I'm following your blog now and I can't WAIT to see what you come out with next!!

It's a WEIRD story....

I found .:WEIRD DESIGNS:. completely by accident.  The marketplace for second life will do that to you, ya know?  I recommend that you only browse the marketplace when you have nothing else to do or you just might.... burn your food, miss your class, forget you were in the middle of a conversation with someone, and possibly neglect your animals or children.... it happens, trust me. (No I don't have children) But I digress...

So this weird little store is actually quite charming.  For those Gothic, doll key wearing, cupcake necklace loving women out there, this store is actually going to get my stamp of approval.  Now, when you first teleport to the store JOIN the group and I will tell you why.  Not only because SL has allowed you to have more than 25 groups but if you join the group and walk into the store there are a number of yummy prizes that are FREE if you DO decide to JOIN..  Ew, I know, I'm not a freebie blogger but it's a very clever way to keep someone coming back and to look around the shop.  Bravo.

So why should you be interested?
1. NO lag... if there is lag at this place it is either a SL issue or you.
2. Small store, you will not get lost or feel overwhelmed with a million items to look through.
3. It is a fair price... I'm not going to say it's the perfect price for the product but I bought like four outfits soooo.. yeah.  But we know I have issues :P
4. Variety.  You will find dresses, shoes, accessories, skins... etc.
5. Innovative.  Sheena Benelli has definitely found a style and made it their own and I'm a big fan of that.
6. Presents for groupies.  If you're in the group there are a number of items available to you for free at the store... owners in SL should appreciate you and your lindens this way, YOU are the reason they can afford to have the shop.

7.  Great music!!!  Some stores have really annoying radio stations or no music at all.
8. Color variety, yay! Sometimes an outfit in black can just get boring.  Luckily this store has each outfit in a different color- so go cr@zy!

I suggest you check this place out IF you like the GOTHIC, EMO, STEAMPUNK style.  There are a number of ways to check out this store: xstreet, http://www.flickr.com/photos, and http://weird-designs.blogspot.com/ (that I am now following!!!)

The TRUTH is...

Hello, my name is Rosaline Deed and I am a Truth hair addict.

Now for those that know me well in SL, this is a bit predictable.  My first store post being about Truth that is.  I have been in love with Truth hair for as long as I can remember... I've been so devoted to the new releases that come out almost every week that I didn't bother joining the group until I saw the amazing Christmas gift that Truth had out.  In other words, I have a sickness and Truth Hawks is to blame!

Reasons why I love Truth hair:
1. It's realistic.
2. It's great for photographs!  It's not like Damselfly hair that doesn't stop moving and makes editing photographs SO frusterating.
3.There is something NEW almost every week.
4. Sets of hair are 250L... an amazing price for this amazing product.
5. ALL colors are available
6. Streaked hair available. *MENU IS EASY*
7. Available in Second Life Marketplace
8. Fast response to delivery issues.

Drawbacks
1. If you visit the store- tape up those knuckles to fight the lag monster.
2. A lot of avatars wear Truth hair, you will run into someone with the exact same hair style as you.
3. No option to turn off scripts

Truth hair has been the best thing to happen to my avatar since I learned what an AO was!!  *Walking like a duck is not chic in ANY world!*
So thank you Truth Hawks, you rock.

Setting the record straight.

You will see bloggers all over the web helping noobies find the best freebie and hunt gifts all over SL.  They will photograph these treasures for you and even tell you where the hunt gifts are located.  Unfortunately, I am too impatient to do a hunt for more than 10 minutes and after meeting a certain friend of mine and all the "more than I can afford" stores in Second Life I decided to blog about the stores that I love and the stores that I can't stop complaining about.  I'll probably photograph these items for you if I feel up to it.

First off, how can I get money (lindens) in Second Life?
1. CREDIT CARD! Please, please, PLEASE.... keep track of how many lindens you buy.  I do NOT want to be blamed for your debt :P
2.  Get a job sparkling wiggles!!  There are plenty of places to get a job in Second Life.  Some jobs you can hold are: Owner, Stripper, Dancer, DJ, Host, Greeter, Model, Photographer, Builder, Animator, Graphic Design Artist... you name it.

Now for the question that will come across many shop owner's mind that I will critique.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?"
*Takes in deep breath*  I've been in Second Life since September of 2009 and have been shopping and following fashion trends IRL *in real life* and SL for a long time.  I know if your article of clothing is shit and you're ripping people off and I know a good product.

My goal is NOT to hurt anyone's business or bruise anyone's ego. There is no personal vendetta here. My goal is to simply put hard earned money to a good product and make sure people get what they pay for.  The end.
